We preempted the name of Netflix series Sense8 by about 14 years when we created a magazine for Star Internet called Sense6. Our brief was to establish Star as a thought leader in its field, producing a ‘magazine’ that would engage its customers in discussion about virus software, and how to protect yourself on the internet.
The idea was to promote authenticity and authority, especially as these were relatively early days in corporate internet solutions. The magazine would be a bridge between the business and its customers, filling in knowledge gaps without being too technical or hampered by jargon.
I worked with a great designer in creating a range of materials built around the silent protection of firewall technology, “leaving you to think about more important matters, like growing your business”.
